We are seeking a seasoned Oracle DBA to join the Web and Data Services team, focusing on both on-premise and cloud-based database environments.
This hands-on role involves development, delivery, and support of enterprise database systems, requiring strong technical expertise and collaboration across engineering, cloud, and architecture teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead support for Oracle RAC databases across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Build and deliver cloud infrastructure in AWS EC2, RDS, and Azure using industry-standard tools.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Oracle databases on Azure and AWS.
- Administer Exadata and ZFS storage systems, including hardware and software setup.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, Datapump, Snap, and Clones.
- Perform regular database maintenance including backups, restores, archiving, and log reviews.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database systems using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager and Data Dog.
- Support database migration and cloud operations across AWS, Azure, and OCI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production stability and disaster recovery readiness.
- Participate in 24x7 production support and manage high-availability database systems.
- Apply Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban for task prioritization and delivery.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 12+ years of IT experience with progressive growth into technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience supporting Oracle RAC databases and cloud-based database systems.
- Strong expertise in Exadata, ZFS storage, and Oracle backup/recovery solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Control
M, Commvault, and CI/CD tools (Git Hub, Jenkins, uDeploy, Artifactory). - Proficiency in Linux and AIX environments.
- Solid understanding of cloud provisioning, monitoring, and administration (AWS, Azure, OCI).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on production stability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
- Experience in matrix-managed environments and cross-functional leadership.
- Familiarity with Agile practices and modern Dev Ops principles.
