Data Center Technician - Afton, TX

Core Weave is a cloud infrastructure company specializing in AI compute platforms. As a Data Center Technician, you will support the hardware and infrastructure operations of Core Weave's data centers, ensuring availability and reliability through hands‑on diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of mission‑critical systems.

• Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability
• Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and perform physical repairs
• Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures
• Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware
• Assemble, install, and maintain equipment; manage inventory
• Respond to on‑site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes while on‑call
• Travel up to 10% of the time to other data center locations as required

• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and assembly
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces, including under‑floor areas or on ladders
• Ability to perform fine motor skills tasks including handling small hardware components and cables
• Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including rotating on‑call shifts
• Experience in data center environments

• Experience with computer networking
• Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
• Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in an IT‑related field
