Join a legal team where your litigation experience, sound judgment, and attention to detail will make a meaningful impact. As an Associate Attorney, you will represent PRA Group in consumer account litigation and other legal proceedings, while partnering with attorneys and business stakeholders to support thoughtful, compliant, and effective legal strategies.

This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys hands‑on litigation work, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and brings a practical, solutions‑oriented approach to legal matters. You will prepare and file legal documents, manage discovery and pleadings, appear in court proceedings, and help guide litigation activity in alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

What You’ll Do

  • Represent the Company and its affiliates in state court litigation where you are licensed to practice, using case management tools to support accurate and efficient matter management.
  • Prepare, review, and file legal documents, pleadings, discovery materials, and other litigation‑related filings.
  • Develop case strategies, assess facts and evidence, and present sound legal arguments when engaging with defendants, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Represent the Company at scheduling conferences, mediations, settlement conferences, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Partner with internal attorneys and stakeholders to ensure litigation activities are handled in a timely, compliant, and business‑minded manner.

What You’ll Bring

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license and good standing with the Texas bar.
  • At least 2 years of related litigation experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and supporting or handling trials.
  • Familiarity with federal and state laws and regulations related to consumer credit and collections, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth in Lending Act, and Equal Credit Opportunity Act.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with courts, counsel, internal stakeholders, and business partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills, sound time management, strong interpersonal judgment, and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, assess risk, and provide practical legal guidance that supports sound business decisions.
  • Strong legal research skills, including the ability to interpret statutes, case law, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide well‑researched, accurate, and practical legal advice in a timely manner.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to help develop, refine, and standardize legal processes and procedures.
