We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic Head of Finance who can lead with clarity, build robust systems, and partner with the CEO to guide major commercial decisions. No two days will look the same - you’ll move between deep financial modelling, cashflow strategy, inventory oversight, operational problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment and wants real ownership, influence, and impact.

• Provide strategic financial leadership aligned with the company’s growth plans.
• Own end-to-end month end: close, reporting, reconciliations, and financial accuracy across AU & US.
• Manage working capital and cash flow across regions, with deep ownership of inventory, FX exposure, and funding needs.
• Oversee payroll (US & AU), AP/AR, employee oncosts, ESP calculations, and the outsourced transactional accounting provider.
• Deliver timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting; support board pack preparation.
• Ensure tax compliance across both markets, including annual returns, R&D claims and ad hoc grants.
• Lead financial systems and integrations (Xero, Cin7, Shopify, Stripe, Airwallex), ensuring they scale with the business.
• Own banking and finance relationships, ensuring optimal structures and full compliance.
• Build and refine models for budgeting, forecasting, 3-way modelling and capital raise preparation.
• Partner closely with the CEO and department leads on strategy, pricing, customer profitability and major commercial decisions.
• Provide proactive insights and recommendations to optimise profitability, cashflow, and overall performance.
• Maintain robust internal controls and strengthen financial processes across the organisation.

• 7+ years in finance leadership, ideally in consumer/startup environments
• Experience with the US consumer landscape across retail and e-commerce
• Knowledge of inventory systems and manufacturing accounting
• CPA/CA or similar qualification (preferred)
• Exceptional communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
• Adaptability, a proactive mindset, and comfort in autonomy and ambiguity
