Our client, a rapidly expanding multi-site dental platform, is seeking a Director of Clinic Launch & Performance to take ownership of the operational launch and ramp-up of its growing de novo pipeline. With 20+ locations today, the platform is entering a significant phase of expansion, with 10-15 new openings targeted in 2027 and 15-20 the following year.
This is not a traditional multi-site Operations position.
The successful candidate will own the critical period between development and established clinic operations, taking new locations through operational readiness, go-live, initial performance ramp and ultimately a structured handover into the Operations team. Central to the role will be building a repeatable de novo launch playbook that creates greater consistency around how new clinics are opened, ramped and transitioned as the organization continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities:- Own the operational launch and ramp-up of multiple de novo clinics
- Take new locations from pre-opening readiness through go-live and initial performance
- Build and continuously improve a scalable, repeatable de novo launch playbook
- Coordinate launch readiness across staffing, licensing/credentialing, technology, equipment and supplies
- Partner cross-functionally across Development, Project Management, Talent Acquisition and Operations
- Drive accountability against launch milestones and identify potential risks before they impact opening timelines
- Remain closely involved post-launch to ensure new clinics successfully ramp toward performance expectations
- Monitor patient volume, provider/capacity utilization and revenue against plan
- Identify underperformance against forecast and drive corrective operational action
- Establish clear performance and readiness criteria for handing new locations into ongoing Operations
- Standardize the launch process across multiple states while accounting for individual market requirements
- Apply lessons learned from each opening to continuously improve future launches
- Demonstrable track record of personally owning multiple de novo / new-location openings
- Experience taking healthcare locations from pre-opening through launch, ramp-up and operational handover
- Proven experience developing or implementing a repeatable de novo launch playbook
- Strong understanding of the operational requirements behind opening provider-led healthcare locations
- Able to quantify previous launch experience, number of locations opened, timelines, ramp periods and subsequent performance
- Dental / DSO experience strongly preferred, but high-growth multi-site healthcare experience will also be considered
- Experience with in ASC, ophthalmology or comparable provider-led multi-site healthcare environments could translate well
- Strong operator who is comfortable being hands-on in the field rather than managing launches solely from a corporate office
- Comfortable driving accountability across multiple functions without direct reporting authority
- Able to interpret forecast-versus-actual performance and turn data into corrective action
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
- Willing to travel extensively depending on launch activity
- Based within approximately two hours of a major U.S. airport
- Bachelor's degree required
