Seeking a Mechanical Technician to complete our custom generator enclosures
EK is looking for a full-time mechanical technician ready to work hard and utilize their manufacturing and assembly skills in a fast-paced, friendly environment. New team members will collaborate with experienced staff to assemble generator enclosures, tanks, and subassemblies following blueprints and specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Read and understand blueprints and bill of materials.Operate pipe threader and cutting devices to manufacture sub-assembly parts per print.Install mechanical assemblies onto generator engines and fuel tanks.Assemble functional parts of enclosures and tanks using hand tools, power tools (cordless drills, impact guns, etc.), levels, plumb bobs, and straight edges.Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment and document inspection data.Use forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes, ladders, and other lifting devices to assist in assembly.Assist in the assembly and installation of electrical and electronic components (electrical enclosures, transformers, etc.—all electrical connections are performed by qualified personnel), pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.Assemble both small and large sub-assemblies according to prints or drawings.Read bill of materials to package parts/kits according to customer requirements.Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine assembly sequence and setup requirements.Follow work instructions from general descriptions. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical/fit issues.Ensure punch lists are completed.Assist in preparation and disassembly of factory witness tests.Prepare generator packages for shipment.Load generator enclosures and fuel tanks.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Benefits include:
