Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Master Scheduler
, to manage the scheduling activities within the manufacturing operations. The position will work in the MRP (Material Resource Planning) system in coordination with the supply team to ensure production needs are met with maximized plant efficiencies, within inventory targets and required due dates.

Position will be by hybrid but based in Poynette, WI.

Responsibilities
  • Total responsibility for developing, analyzing, and implementing labor, utilization, space, and inventory plans for product lines with greatest value to the organization requiring advanced analysis.
  • Manage monthly and weekly production schedules using information gathered from multiple sources to satisfy sales forecasts, inventory targets, and labor plans.
  • Define, analyze, enhance, and manage finished and work in process inventory targets.
  • Collaborate with production managers to achieve optimal staffing requirements by production line. Active in the development of production staff levels and capacity reporting.
  • Establish and maintain system codes, safety stocks, reorder point data, and part master control data.
  • Analyze MRP and inventory movement reports ensuring availability of materials to support manufacturing and customer delivery requirements.
  • Participates on cross-functional teams to develop and implement new and improved products.
  • Implement product change notices.
  • Analyze, prepare, and maintain manufacturing orders.
  • Provide opportunities for cost and inventory savings and drive to completion.
  • Interact with manufacturing, sales, engineering and accounting personnel.
  • Participate in the enhancement of manufacturing information systems.
  • Prepare monthly reports, status reports, and graphs.
  • Provide training and direction to less experienced staff.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in Scheduling and manage through implementation.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations while maintaining departmental housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Operations Management
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in production, labor, inventory, and space planning for a multi-plant environment, including systems and technical expertise utilizing ERP/MRP software or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in driving inventory turn improvements, capacity management, and process improvements.
  • ASCM Certification highly desirable.
  • A deep understanding of manufacturing systems, their development and application, including analysis and interpretation of MRP reports, purchase orders and production schedules.
  • Advanced level of experience in production, labor, inventory, and space planning for a multi-plant environment.
  • Desire to overachieve and provide opportunities for improvement within the materials department.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems to provide the necessary materials to the plants in a timely manner.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, make independent judgments/decisions.
  • Ability to take leadership roles; set objectives; drive results; team player; strong leader.
  • Strong math aptitude.
  • Good organization skills and attention to details and accuracy.
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities.
  • Ability to coordinate and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Computer knowledge with Word and proficient Excel skills essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
