Bindery Helper - 2nd Shift

02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Monday - Friday

• Assist Bindery Operators to ensure smooth production and packaging operations
• Place paper jackets onto unfinished books
• Remove printed materials and finished products from machines and conveyors
• Wrap finished products in plastic and stack products on pallets or skids
• Pack finished products into boxes for shipment
• Inspect stitched, collated, bound, and unbound products for defects, including imperfect bindings, ink spots, torn pages, loose pages, and other quality concerns
• Feed covers, signatures, and sheets into machinery for collating, stitching, folding, trimming, ruling, stapling, roughing, indexing, gluing, and perforating operations
• Feed related printed materials, including periodicals and pamphlets, into binding equipment
• Operate overhead cranes and Big Joe automatic pallet jacks
• Operate banding machines
• Maintain production quality standards and report defects or production issues
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, and kneel throughout the workday
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
