We are seeking an experienced Electric Motor Winder / Motor Rewind Technician for an industrial motor repair operation in Corpus Christi, TX. This position is for candidates with hands-on electric motor winding and rewinding experience — not general manufacturing coil winding.
What You'll Do- Wind and rewind AC/DC electric motors
- Rewind stators, armatures, rotors and field coils
- Remove old windings and record winding data
- Form, insert, connect, lace and insulate coils
- Perform random winding and/or form coil winding
- Test windings using megger, surge and electrical testing equipment
- Work with VPI, insulation systems and burnout/bake processes
- Inspect and troubleshoot motors during the rewind process
- Follow motor repair specifications, safety procedures and quality standards
3+ years of hands-on industrial electric motor winding/rewinding experience required.
Experience in an electric motor repair shop, motor rewind shop, electromechanical repair facility or rotating equipment service center strongly preferred.
