Metko is a third-generation, family-owned Wisconsin manufacturer specializing in custom metal and tank fabrication. Join our New Holstein team and put your welding skills to work on components made from mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

We have full-time Welder openings on second and third shift. You’ll set up welding equipment, work from drawings and specifications, and produce quality components using MIG and/or TIG welding processes.

Experience in either process is welcome. Tell us what you do well and where you’d like to continue developing your skills.

• Second shift:
  Monday–Friday, 2:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
• Third shift:
  Sunday evening–Friday morning, 10:30 p.m.–6:30 a.m.

These are separate shift openings. Please indicate which shift interests you when applying. Initial training may temporarily take place on first shift.

• Set up and operate welding equipment for assigned jobs.
• Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components, according to your assignment and demonstrated skills.
• Read and follow blueprints, weld symbols, work orders, and specifications.
• Check completed work for weld quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Keep your equipment and work area clean and organized.
• Communicate with teammates and your supervisor to resolve questions and keep work moving.

You take pride in getting the details right. You’re willing to ask questions, learn from feedback, and help the people working alongside you succeed.

• Current proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, or both.
• Attention to detail and pride in producing consistent, quality welds.
• Experience with mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminum.
• The ability to read blueprints and understand common weld symbols, or a foundation in those skills and willingness to develop them further.
• Familiarity with measuring equipment and checking work against drawings.
• Dependability, clear communication, and a cooperative attitude.
• A strong commitment to safe work practices.

One or more years of relevant welding experience is preferred. Completion of a technical-college welding program is a plus. Welders at different stages of their careers are encouraged to apply.
