At Mayville Engineering Company (MEC), getting the job done right means more than making a great product. It means having the right plan, the right priorities, and the right people working together to get orders out the door on time.

We're looking for a Scheduler who enjoys solving puzzles, managing moving pieces, and keeping production on track. You'll coordinate schedules across departments, monitor progress, identify potential roadblocks, and work with our teams to keep customer orders moving in the right direction.

If you're organized, quick on your feet, and motivated by turning competing priorities into a plan that works, you could be a great fit at MEC.

Here's Where You'll Make a Difference
  • Keep the Plan on Track: Develop production schedules that establish the sequence and timing of operations to meet customer orders and shipping deadlines.
  • Connect the Dots: Coordinate workflows across departments and operations to keep production aligned with established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Stay in the Loop: Partner with department supervisors to check project progress, understand current priorities, and identify potential scheduling concerns.
  • Think on Your Feet: Adjust schedules when unexpected challenges arise and help teams find practical ways to keep work moving.
  • Get Ahead of Delays: Investigate missed timelines, identify bottlenecks, and bring production constraints to the attention of the right teams.
  • Find the Best Path Forward: Work with planners and other stakeholders to evaluate scheduling challenges, coordinate revised timelines, and communicate changes.
  • Keep the Numbers Straight: Verify job quantities, investigate discrepancies, and help ensure production counts are accurate.
  • Turn Data Into Direction: Prepare weekly and monthly production reports that help teams understand progress, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Keep Customers in Mind: Balance production priorities, available resources, and customer deadlines to support reliable, on-time delivery.
What You'll Bring to the Team
  • An associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • One year of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Analytical thinking skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to share schedules, updates, and changes with different departments.
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and operational lead times.
  • The ability to recognize production equipment and workforce constraints when developing schedules.
  • A customer-focused mindset and an understanding of the importance of meeting delivery commitments.
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills to adjust priorities when plans change.
