Fab-Welder

SAS Forks LLC is a small business in Luxemburg, WI. We are a leading manufacturer of material handling equipment utilized within salvage yards, rock quarries, demolition and other rugged applications.

We are seeking a person with top quality welding abilities for wire welding of ½” to 4” steel with multi-pass welds. The applicant must be able to read and understand blueprints, have good math skills, be able to convert decimal measurements to fractions, be able to identify various raw materials, interpret blueprints and assemble parts per print. Applicants must have the discipline to verify measurements are to specification on print and be willing to perform other duties as assigned.

Fabricated parts are structural requiring full penetration with a top-quality exterior finish to provide durable and high-quality products to our customers.

• Skilled with metal working measurement devices
• Fabrication and welding of steel assemblies per print instructions
• Verify measurements are to specifications on print before, during and after fabrication and welding process
• Perform finish/cleanup of welds and assemblies after fabrication and welding
• Complete required paperwork for measurement proofs, completion sign off and material tracking
• Operate grinder, forklift, jib crane, brake press and overhead gantry crane
• Operate band saw, and complete required documentation of receiving /kitting
• Other tasks as assigned

• 3+ years of welding/fabrication experience preferred
• Experience in heavy metal fabrication (solid core MIG welding)
• Experience operating a drill press, manual lathe, band saw, bench and hand grinders, jib and overhead gantry cranes.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred
