Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking an RN New Grad Apprentice to join our team!

We're looking for new graduates who are unsure which patient population they wish to serve as they begin their nursing career at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. This program allows new nurses to have the opportunity to work on several inpatient units prior to selecting a position on a specific inpatient unit.

This program consists of four rotations throughout Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Each rotation will last for 12 weeks, except for the first to allow for new nurse orientation. In addition, a short orientation period is provided at the start of each rotation to become familiar with the new unit.

Units in the program may include:

• Medical/Adolescent/Pediatrics
• Post Surgical Care Unit
• Palliative Care Unit
• Oncology Care Unit
• Inpatient Rehab
• Cardiac/Telemetry Unit
• Intermediate Care Unit
• Observation Unit

Hours:

Full-Time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period. Varied shifts to include weekend/holiday rotation

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification may be required based on primary department.
