Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Qualifications:

Must have current and active nursing aide certification in Wisconsin.

The primary purpose of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident s assessment and care plan, and as directed by supervisors.

• Resident-centered care including assistance with activities of daily living such as positioning, moving, and restorative care.
• Mobility, toileting, and bathing.
• Grooming: oral, shaving and nail care.
• Dining assistance.
• Dressing and undressing.
• Infection control and prevention.
• Nutrition and elimination.
• Comfort care and end of life care.
• Answer call lights timely and promptly.
• Report changes in the resident s condition to the assigned nurse as soon as possible.
• Report accidents and incidents observed on the shift.
• Record entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., clearly and accurately.
• Collaborate with all disciplines in the facility.
