Overview

FLSA:
Non‑Exempt. This is a technical nursing position for Lakeview Health Center & Assisted Living of La Crosse County to which employees are appointed by the Director of Nursing Services. Employees work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position works 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM and includes a weekend and holiday rotation.

Essential Job Functions

• Provides care within the provisions of the Nurse Practice Act.
• Under supervision of a registered nurse, provides direct nursing care, including administering medications and treatments.
• Assists in the training and orientation of new personnel.
• Evaluates resident needs and assists with the development and implementation of nursing care plans.
• Makes clinical observations of resident conditions and behavior and makes accurate and complete nursing notes of those observations in the clinical record.
• Works safely and follows safety practices and standards of the facility; responsible for reporting or correcting any existing or potential safety or accident hazard.
• Maintains residents’ rights and confidentiality of resident information; reports all suspected cases of resident abuse to the Administrator.
