• Work under the direct direction and supervision of an RN, APRN, or physician within your LVN scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, applying the five rights of medication administration
• Monitor patient status and promptly recognize, escalates, and report changes in condition, symptoms, or behavior to the supervising RN or provider
• Support the implementation and revision of individualized nursing and interdisciplinary care plans under RN supervision
• Deliver effective pain management techniques and educate patients and families on pain management protocols
• Assist physicians and care teams with examinations, treatments, specialized clinical procedures, and rehabilitation plans
• Support de-escalation and behavioral support efforts using approved unit protocols and nonviolent crisis intervention techniques
• Provide age-appropriate care based on specific patient populations, ranging from adult complex medical to pediatric and adolescent patients
• Coordinate care needs with interdisciplinary teams, including Social Services and Discharge Planners, while addressing patient psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs
• Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, advance directives, and unit emergency protocols

• Active, unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of Texas (or active multistate/compact license)
• Minimum 6 months of acute care, hospital, LTACH, rehabilitation, or pediatric nursing experience (1+ year preferred)
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization skills, and the ability to function calmly under stress in fast-paced environments
• Experience with IV therapy, blood administration, wound care, or tracheostomy/ventilator-dependent respiratory care is preferred
• Working knowledge or training in de-escalation/crisis prevention (such as CPI or Handle With Care) is optimal for pediatric and behavioral health shifts
