Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Hayward, WI | Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP)

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum, serving patients 36 weeks gestation and above with diagnoses including pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, and hypertension
• Attend deliveries in the OR setting alongside OR circulator and surgical tech; must be competent in use of T-piece resuscitator
• Titrate drips including oxytocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate per protocol
• Monitor patients using GE electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) system and Mindray/Centricity monitoring equipment without dedicated monitor techs
• Float to Med/Surg unit when the OB department is closed; may function as helping hands or take an assignment depending on prior Med/Surg experience
• Adhere to AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios and unit standards

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Experience in LDRP care encompassing labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursing
• Competency with titratable drips (oxytocin, insulin, magnesium sulfate)
• Ability to work holidays and variable weekend requirements per contract

• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior Med/Surg experience (beneficial for float coverage when OB unit is closed)
• Familiarity with GE electronic fetal monitoring systems and Centricity documentation
• Experience working in a low-volume, community-based OB setting

• Block scheduling is accommodated at a high percentage of the time, offering greater schedule predictability
• Unit-specific orientation provided, along with hospital scrubs — supporting a smooth transition into the role
