NASDA Part‑time Field Enumerator – Marquette County

NASDA – National Association of State Departments of Agriculture is seeking part‑time individuals to support agricultural producers by collecting accurate, unbiased data. This role involves conducting in‑person and telephone interviews with a diverse range of agricultural operations, and performing crop counts in designated fields.

• Conduct professional interviews with farmers, ranchers, and rural businesses.
• Perform crop counts in corn or soybean fields.
• Enter detailed data from field operators in a timely manner.
• Report daily progress, time, and mileage.
• Receive comprehensive training on animal and plant health, farming practices, and study questionnaires.
• Follow protocol and maintain confidentiality and data integrity.

• Private workspace with functional telephone and minimal distractions.
• Personal vehicle suitable for travel up to 250 miles quarterly for training.
• Flexible schedule; evenings and weekends may be required.
• Proficiency with computer systems and/or iPads.
• Experience working in a deadline‑driven environment with multiple tasks.
• Ability to examine crop status in corn or soybean fields.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs and walk unassisted on uneven ground up to 100 yards.
• Background check clearance.

Compensation starts at $17.75 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement and required supplies. On‑the‑job training, flexibility, and opportunities for professional advancement are provided.
