Kitchen Manager

Alley Cats Coffee is a popular, established coffee shop with a loyal local following. We’re seeking a full-time Kitchen Manager to take ownership of our back-of-house operations. This is a working leadership role: you’ll prepare food, fulfill orders, and oversee kitchen operations while setting the standard for other team members.

• Full-time position (approximately 40 hours/week, with the potential for some overtime, as needed).
• Daytime hours only
• Weekend availability required (alternating weekends possible).

• Prepare and fulfill food orders while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Lead back-of-house operations during your shifts, often working independently.
• Train new employees on food handling, preparation, and kitchen procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen (inventory and ordering).
• Monitor kitchen equipment functionality and arrange maintenance when needed.
• Fill in as needed to cover absences or scheduling conflicts.
• Collaborate with the General Manager on menu items and seasonal specials.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and shop policies.

• Experience in a kitchen role with leadership or shift-lead responsibility preferred.
• Serv Safe certification (or ability to obtain quickly).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of the back-of-house.
