Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to bakery patrons.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean shelving and display cases, and rotate self‑serve displays.
• Take special orders and collaborate with the Baker to determine items that need baking or decorating.
• Assist with department cleaning, including hosing down floors with soap and water.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs, 45 lbs and occasionally 60 lbs, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual/auditory tasks.

Qualifications:

• Read and write Spanish and English, interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Understand and follow simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and short correspondence.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers, clients and employees.
• Carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions using common sense.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 45 lbs, and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
• Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required.
