• Assist customers with bakery purchases, ensuring courteous and helpful service.
• Clean, fill, and rotate self‑serve displays in front of the store and adjacent to the bakery area.
• Work with the Baker to determine which items require baking or decorating and to fulfill special orders.
• Support department cleaning by hosing down floors with soap and water, maintaining overall cleanliness.
• Work under the direct supervision of the Bakery Manager.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 60 pounds and standing, walking, and kneeling as required.

• Read and write Spanish and English; interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, often lift up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required.
