- Develop & Execute:
- Use the Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) framework to gain a deeper understanding of what motivates our buyers.
- Create a sales process that's robust enough to power long‑term sales team growth.
- Design and implement a scalable training program that drives engagement and results.
- Identify key training topics, structure programs that get measurable results, select the right trainers, and track success.
- Build a recruitment and hiring process that creates a strong talent pipeline for sales roles.
- Develop a structured onboarding program that sets new hires up for long‑term success.
- Leadership & Sales Strategy:
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high‑performing remote sales team.
- Establish sales processes, Hub Spot CRM workflows, and automation to maximize efficiency.
- Drive new business development and build strategic B2B and B2C relationships.
- Monitor KPIs, forecasts, and pipeline management to optimize sales performance.
- Collaborate with marketing on lead generation, branding, and sales enablement.
- Expand sales channels and partnerships within the outdoor adventure industry.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor strategies to maintain our market leadership.
- Participate in marketing and promotional activities to generate leads.
- Maintain updated knowledge of travel destinations, trends, and regulations.
- Identify training topics, how to structure a training that gets results, how to choose a person to deliver the training, and how to measure your program's overall success.
- Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Lead Conversion Rate: Increase conversion rates across all sales funnels.
- Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC): Optimize CAC for sustainable growth.
- Sales Cycle Length: Improve efficiency by shortening the average sales cycle.
- Sales Team Performance: Ensure individual and team sales quotas are met or exceeded.
- Customer Retention & Expansion: Improve repeat business and upsell/cross‑sell success rates.
- Recruitment & Onboarding Success: Ensure successful hiring and onboarding of new sales team members.
- Proven 5+ years of experience as a Sales Director, Head of Sales, or similar leadership role.
- Hands‑on expertise in building and scaling sales operations from scratch.
- Strong understanding of CRM tools (Hub Spot, Salesforce, or similar) and data‑driven sales strategies.
- Experience with sales training program development and performance tracking.
- Background in B2B and B2C sales, preferably in travel, adventure, or outdoor industries.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to create and execute sales forecasts, revenue goals, and performance reports.
- Entrepreneurial mindset—ready to take ownership and drive results.
- Passion for the outdoor adventure industry is a big plus!
