Location: Town of Hartland

Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is an OEM engaged in the design and manufacturing of industrial capital equipment in the heat processing industry, including ovens, washers, and material handling. The company focuses on several niche industries including metal finishing.

We are seeking a full‑time Business Development Manager (BDM) to promote our patented energy‑saving technologies. The BDM will actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, partnering with the application engineering team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The BDM must articulate technology and product positioning to both commercial and technical users, identify and resolve technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction, and establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations.
  • Represent the product to customers and at field events such as conferences and seminars.
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFQs.
  • Convey customer requirements to product management teams.
  • Travel 25‑35% throughout the sales territory to meet with customers and manufacturer’s representatives.
Skills
  • Self‑motivated with a proven track record in product sales and knowledge of technology.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and reports.
  • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
  • 3‑5+ years of relevant sales experience.
  • Experience and familiarity with our products and line of business is a plus.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing or business management from an accredited university.
  • Master’s degree in business administration or marketing is a plus, though not required.
