Logistics​/Distribution Specialist

Overview

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of JELD-WEN, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for Logistics/Distribution Specialist to assist our Distribution division’s facility in Denver, CO
; the position will be located in Coppell, TX by providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

• Confirm daily order shipments and match orders with delivery tags.
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating job site deliveries and production order flow, ensuring safe and on-time pickup and delivery.
• Distribute and slot tickets as required.
• Provide customer service and support to customers via the phone and email, as well as will-call.
• Communicate customer service needs with drivers, sales, and operations.
• Update scheduling database with ticket details.
• Be main point of contact between fleet manager and all drivers.
• Cover routes due to PTO, PTO sick.
• Cover routes due to high volume for extended period as needed.
• Start is 6 am. Local time.

• Answering a high volume of calls from Drivers, Customers, and Sales Team
• Logistics or transportation experience
• CDL Class A and 2+ years’ experience.
• 2+ years of basic computer skills, with ability to be trained on company software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive outgoing attitude
• Self-motivated, goal-orientated, excellent work habits
• Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Promote and maintain a TEAM atmosphere

Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Expected pay for this role is between $21.49 to $35.82 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
