- Interpret and follow blueprints, ensuring accurate execution of deck designs.
- Measure and cut materials with precision to meet project specifications.
- Install and secure support structures, ensuring stability and safety.
- Utilize various tools and equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling deck components.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand design preferences and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during construction, ensuring a high‑quality finished product.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques for continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members when applicable.
- Comply with building codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the construction process.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address questions, concerns, and modifications during the project.
- Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality workmanship.
- HS Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record to operate company vehicles
- Previous experience as a Carpenter
- Attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements
- Excellent problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot and address issues during construction
- Ability to read and take action on blueprints
- Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools
- Knowledge of building regulations and codes
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of manual labor
- Skilled experience operating heavy duty pick‑up trucks and towing trailers
- Experience building high‑class deck and outdoor living projects
