As a Skilled Carpenter position at Horizon, you will…

• Perform tasks required during general construction and renovation projects including alterations of walls, carpentry, drywall, electrical, doors, ceilings, plumbing, floor covering and paint.
• Perform universal precautions and uses personal protective equipment.
• Coordinate work under the direction of the Construction Manager follows all OSHA, DOH and building regulations.
• Report building deficiencies to the Construction Manager provides a safe and healthy environment for all clients and staff.
• Complete all appropriate paperwork.

We can’t wait to learn more about you! Here are a few specifics of what you’ll need for the job:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of relevant experience required.
• 6 months of commercial construction experience required.
• A clean, valid, NYS driver’s license, and three years of driving experience as a licensed driver is required.

Location

This position is location at our corporate headquarters at 55 Dodge Rd, Getzville NY 14068.

Position Hours

This is a full‑time role from Monday - Thursday 5:30am - 2:30pm and Friday 5:30am - 11:30am.

Compensation

Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $25.00 - $26.50. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.

Physical demands associated with this position include:

• Stationary posture, alternating between standing and sitting
• Ascending/descending on various structures (e.g. ladders)
• Operating machinery/power tools and occasional operation of company owned motor vehicles and heavy equipment
• Lifting objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds
• Exposure to various environmental conditions including low/high temperatures, and outdoor elements
