LocationOnsite – Kohler, WI
Job DetailsShift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM - 2:18 PM, Mon-Fri. Compensation: $33.77 - $39.55 hourly.
Responsibilities- Operate, inspect, troubleshoot and repair plant utility systems.
- Perform operations in accordance with guidelines and safety requirements.
- Maintain major utility equipment including Boilers, Air Compressors/Dryers, Chillers, Fans, Pumps, Wells, Cooling Towers and Fire Suppression equipment; maintain distribution systems for Steam, Condensate, Compressed Air, Chilled Water, Cooling Towers, Water Chemistry/Purification, Potable Water, Process Wastewater, Natural Gas, Propane, and Fire Systems.
- Be knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems including Air Handlers, Rooftop units, and Make-up air units with related controls.
- Operate, inspect and maintain Fire Protection Systems (sprinkler systems, fire suppression, extinguishers, hoses, hydrants) per guidelines and procedures, including response to fire alarms.
- Apply knowledge of Lubricants, Packing/Seals, Bearings, Couplings, Gear Reducers, Measurement equipment, Fasteners, and Rigging.
- Interpret Mechanical and Electrical prints and P&.
- Proficiently utilize a wide variety of equipment and tools.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management software to create work notifications, look up and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations.
- Maintain technical competence through training, on-the-job learning, and vendor programs.

- Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- An associate degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC Systems) Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or Electro-Mechanical degree, or must be enrolled in an accredited program working toward the degree.
- Must hold or be able to acquire a valid Universal Refrigerant Handling Certificate within 18 months. Active participation in Kohler Company Fire Brigade is required.
- Physical capability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation (e.g., bending, lifting, pushing).
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
- Reliable attendance and work performance.
- Adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
