Tuesday to Friday: 12:00 am to 8:00 am

Base pay range

Summary

Under the direction of the Lead Maintenance Technician and production/maintenance manager, assist with maintaining and repairing hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components of production equipment and machines; install and repair electrical components of industrial equipment and machinery; perform all preventive maintenance functions; and ensure maintenance of buildings and grounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Visually inspect and listen to equipment and machines to locate causes of malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot equipment to determine the cause of breakdown.
  • Dismantle equipment and machines to gain access to problem areas.
  • Repair equipment and machines and test their operation following repair.
  • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed or relocated equipment and machines.
  • Assist contractors with repairs.
  • Assist electricians with connecting power supply wires to equipment and machines and connect cables and wires between equipment and machines.
  • Replace faulty electrical components of equipment and machines such as relays, switches, and motors.
  • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electrical components such as printed circuit boards.
  • Perform structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings.
  • Assist with requisitioning tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
  • Comply with company policies and safety regulations for workers at all times.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair work orders on buildings and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in maintenance software.
  • Confere with supervisor to coordinate work activities.
Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and/or Experience

Preferred:
Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or 4 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 1 year experience with shop tools to include but not limited to: PLC programming and devices, grinder, saws, heat treating, HVAC, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, electrical components, basic carpentry tools, etc.

Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete situations where only limited standardization exists. May need help with interpreting instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Skills and Abilities

Employee is learning to properly operate all types of equipment throughout the plant and is being taught to understand all plant systems – electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.
