Job Description
Asphalt Contractors Inc. is looking for an experienced
Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. This position is responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on a variety of commercial and construction projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and experienced with concrete finishing techniques.
- Set forms and prepare areas for concrete placement
- Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete
- Use hand and power tools including screeds, floats, trowels, edgers, and saws
- Finish concrete to required elevations, slopes, and specifications
- Perform broom, smooth, and other specified concrete finishes
- Install and finish sidewalks, curb and gutter, slabs, approaches, and other concrete work
- Assist with layout, grading, forming, and site preparation as needed
- Remove forms and perform minor concrete repairs or patching
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Follow company safety procedures and jobsite requirements
- Work closely with foremen, operators, laborers, and other crew members
- Previous concrete finishing experience required
- Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, curing, and proper finishing techniques
- Ability to read grades and work to established elevations and slopes
- Experience with commercial, roadway, or heavy civil concrete work preferred
- Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and regularly bend, kneel, stand, and walk throughout the workday
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and ability to work well as part of a crew

We provide asphalt paving, concrete, excavation, and related construction services throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
