Audio Video Lighting Installation Technician

Part-Time / Project-Based / Contract Opportunities | W-2 or 1099 | All Travel Expenses Paid

Are you mechanically inclined, enjoy working with your hands, and looking for opportunities that take you to different locations across the country?

We are looking for motivated, dependable, and hardworking individuals to join our team as Audio, Video & Lighting (AVL) Installers on a part-time, project-based, or contract basis.

This is a hands-on position involving the installation of professional audio, video, and lighting systems in a variety of commercial and professional environments.

Experience is a plus, but not required! We are interested in individuals with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.

• Equipment Rack Assembly & Wiring: Build, wire, and organize professional audio, video, and control equipment racks.
• Speaker Installation: Mount and install speakers, including ceiling-mounted, wall-mounted, and suspended systems.
• Display Installation: Install and mount flat-panel monitors, televisions, and commercial displays.
• Projector Installation: Install projectors, mounting hardware, and associated equipment.
• Lighting Installation: Install and mount professional lighting fixtures and associated components.
• Cable Installation: Pull, route, dress, and secure audio, video, control, and data cabling.
• Field Terminations: Terminate and connect cables at equipment racks, speakers, displays, projectors, lighting fixtures, and wall plates.
• Testing & Troubleshooting: Assist with testing installed systems and identifying wiring or connection issues.
• Teamwork: Work alongside other technicians and project managers to complete installations safely, efficiently, and professionally.

• Previous experience with commercial AV installations, low-voltage wiring, electrical work, construction, or related trades is a bonus.

This is not a traditional full-time, year-round position. Work opportunities will be based on project schedules, workload, and availability.

• W-2 or 1099 Opportunities: Depending on the nature of the assignment and applicable worker-classification requirements, positions may be structured as W-2 employment or 1099 independent contractor engagements.
• Flexible Project Assignments: Opportunities may range from shorter installations to extended projects requiring multiple weeks of travel.
• Potential for Ongoing Work: Reliable individuals who demonstrate strong performance may be offered additional projects as they become available.

This is a travel-intensive position. Applicants must be comfortable being away from home for extended periods while working on projects throughout the country.
