OverviewYou’ll join a cross‑functional team of engineers focused on building tools, APIs, and integrations for one of our products. Our backend is built with Elixir and Phoenix with a Postgres database; we use React and Next.js on the front end. Git Lab handles version control, CI/CD, and deployments on AWS.

- Significant experience as a Senior Backend Engineer, building, shipping, and maintaining complex projects.
- Proficiency with Postgres (or similar).
- Experience in CI/CD using Git Lab, Git Hub, Jenkins, or similar.
- Experience with functional programming languages such as Elixir, Erlang, Scala, Clojure, or Haskell.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Experience with Docker.
- AWS expertise.
- Next.js and React/Vue/Angular.
- Lead the development of major team‑scoped projects and participate in cross‑team initiatives.
- Actively participate in product work: provide feedback, suggest solutions, and propose product improvements.
- Maintain expertise in the team’s domain from both product and engineering perspectives.
- Provide feedback on code reviews and contribute to the shared codebase.
- Debug and solve technical and business issues.
- Participate in non‑team activities such as support rotations, hiring, RFC discussions, etc.
- Mentor and guide other engineers.
- Investigate, propose, and implement platform improvements.
- Design and implement APIs with performance, scalability, and maintainability in mind.
