AI Engineer (Applied/Software), Python
SWAPP builds Frank, an agentic AI architect that reads and writes the live BIM model inside Autodesk Revit and Graphisoft ArchiCAD, executing real documentation, modeling, and QA work for many of the world’s leading architecture firms. We pair deep architectural domain knowledge with optimization, computational geometry, and modern AI to put genuine automation on the critical path of production. Our team brings together architects, engineers, AI researchers, and data scientists across Tel Aviv and the US.
Therole
We are looking for engineers who speak architecture. You might be an architect who drifted into scripting and never looked back, or a developer whose career began in a design office. What matters is that you can read a CD set and a codebase with the same confidence, and that you want to put that combination to work on Frank.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer in Texas, you work out of our customers’ offices, side by side with their project teams. You see where the hours go, and you write the code that takes them back. You build new Frank skills, adapt them to each firm’s standards, prove them on live projects, and feed what works into the product every customer gets.
Whatyou’ll do
- Write the Revit-side code (C#, .NET, Revit API) and Python that lets Frank make reliable, production-grade changes to the live model.
- Sit with your Texas firms week to week and turn their documentation needs into shipped capabilities, not just tickets.
- Configure and extend Frank for each firm’s conventions, from tagging and dimensioning to sheets and QA checks.
- Improve the agent: its tools, prompts, retrieval, and the evaluations that tell us it got it right.
- Bring the field back to the product team, helping define, prioritize, and validate what SWAPP builds next.
- An architect who thinks like an engineer, or a software developer who started in architecture (a
B.Arch or equivalent, or real production experience in a firm). - A real programmer: 3+ years writing production software or automation in C# and/or Python.
- Strong in Revit, inside and out: the API, families, templates, and the realities of a CD set.
- Genuinely interested in LLMs and AI agents, and eager to make them work on hard, real-world problems.
- A natural relationship builder who wins people over by being useful, not by selling.
- Based in Texas and glad to spend much of your time on customer sites. Strong candidates elsewhere in the US are welcome too.
- Experience building with LLMs: tool-calling, RAG, MCP, or agent orchestration.
- Time at a large, multi-office architecture firm.
- Work directly with a senior, product-driven team and see your code reach leading firms fast.
- Real ownership and impact from day one, on a product that sits on the critical path of real projects.
- We value curiosity, candor, and a Be-Nice attitude: genuine care for your teammates and our customers.
