Working as part of a team in all aspects of preparation, cooking of food service, wash up and cleaning duties related to the provision of a high quality catering service to Patient, Staff, Visitors and Functions for NHS Lanarkshire.

NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.

• Training and/or qualifications required:
• Induction and Orientation department training.
• 706/1 City and Guilds or Catering Industry equivalent.
• 706/2 City and Guilds or Catering Industry equivalent.
• Intermediate Food Hygiene.
• Standard Nutrition and Dietetics Fire training.
• Manual Handling.
• COSHH.
• Basic IT Skills.
• Level of experience required: 3-4 years in a busy kitchen environment.
• Health and safety and Food hygiene safety on the job training.

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro‑rated.

This role will be based in the Catering Department within University Hospital Wishaw.
