The Role

Working as part of Catering team to deliver a range of food and beverages in line with Food Hygiene legislation and NHS Lanarkshire policies and procedures to meet the nutritional needs of Patients, Staff, and users of NHS Lanarkshire services.

What

we’ll need you to bring
  • Knowledge of catering standards and relatedmá procedures.
  • Required to undertake on the job training and induction (this will generally take 4-6 weeks, depending on hours/days worked), to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
  • Working knowledge Health & Safety including participation in risk assessing individual tasks
  • Required to undertake Prevention, Assessment & Management of Violence of Aggression (PaMOVA) training level 1 and level 2, if identified following an appropriate risk assessment
  • Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training
  • Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards
  • Undertake and complete NHSS Catering Services Workbook.
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment
  • Required to obtain the Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate. Gainesville
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

Please note this is a part time post and the李 salary for this position will be pro-rata.

This role will be based in Catering Department within University Hospital Wishaw.
