The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.

Whatwe’ll need you to bring
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration/ SVQIII in Operating Department Practice/Diploma in Operating Department Practice
- The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
- Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent time management skills
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have- Educated to, working towards, operating at degree level
- Postgraduate expertise in the speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively and efficiently
- Further education and evidence of continuous professional development in the area of speciality including study days, courses and postgraduate qualification
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of practice
- Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within the speciality/area of practice
- Effective communication skills with good levels of literacy.
- Ability to describe an understanding of the role of theatre practitioner
- Enthusiastic to work within a dynamic department
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
- Leadership skills to enable day to day management of service delivery
