Abigail is an elderly lady living in the Wishaw area who is looking for a caring and reliable Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker to support her to live independently and comfortably at home.
She values a supportive, positive environment where she can maintain her daily routine and enjoy social activities. Abigail is seeking someone warm, friendly and proactive who can provide one-to-one support and companionship.
A typical day might include supporting Abigail with her morning routine, assisting with personal care, preparing meals and healthy snacks, and helping with day-to-day household tasks. Some days you may support with at-home medical appointments, while other days may be spent maintaining a comfortable and safe home environment.
The RoleIn this role, you will support Abigail with all aspects of daily living.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting with medication
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks
- Moving and assisting using a tracking hoist and manual wheelchair
- Household tasks including cleaning floors and bathrooms
- Providing companionship, encouragement and emotional support
- Supporting independence and participation in everyday activities
You must be comfortable working in a home with cats.

- Experience with moving and assisting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Minimum 33 hours per week
Two-week rolling rota:
Week 1
(33 hours)
Week 2
(44 hours)
Typical shift times:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00am to 8:00pm (with flexibility)
Hours will be discussed at interview.
Pay£13.45 per hour
