Job Description & How to Apply Below
Are you a contractually sharp professional with the grit to lead major PFI expiries within a complex NHS environment? Our client is looking for a dynamic PFI Expiry Manager to join their team in Wishaw.
This isn't a "desk-only" role; it’s a hands-on leadership position requiring a consistent presence on-site (4–5 days a week) to interface with a diverse range of stakeholders and ensure two critical contracts reach their conclusion seamlessly in 2028.
The Role As the PFI Expiry Manager, you’ll:
Lead the commercial and contractual strategy for two major PFI contracts set to expire in March and December 2028.
Act as the bridge between technical requirements and commercial arrangements, ensuring all handback obligations are met to the highest standard.
Navigate a high-pressure, 24/7 site environment, working closely with the Business as Usual team to ensure zero disruption to service during the transition.
Manage complex stakeholder relationships, engaging with a varied clientele that includes everyone from senior boards to on-site teams and young people.
Provide robust contractual oversight, identifying potential risks and commercial opportunities as the projects move toward their final stages.
Report directly to the Regional Director, while maintaining a close collaborative relationship with the Head of Projects to ensure lifecycle and handback works are aligned. Your Skills To be successful in the role of PFI Expiry Manager, you’ll bring:
Strong commercial and contractual acumen, specifically within the PFI/PPP sector.
An NHS background is highly preferred, given the specific operational nuances of the site.
A technical foundation: the ability to understand the "bricks and mortar" of the building is just as important as the legalities of the contract.
Resilience—the ability to work effectively on a high-pressure, round-the-clock operational site.
Geographical flexibility to be on-site in Wishaw 4 to 5 days per week. What’s in it for you? This is a career-defining role for a PFI specialist. You’ll be at the heart of the most critical phase of these projects, with the support of a strong internal commercial team. Benefits include:
A competitive salary of up to £90,000.
10% Annual Bonus based on performance.
Car Allowance and Private Medical Insurance.
25 Days Annual Leave.
The opportunity to work on a high-profile contract with significant visibility at the board level.
A supportive leadership structure reporting to Ellie Sinclair and working alongside a talented Head of Projects. Apply Now!
