Class 1 Driver

This temporary Class 1 Driver role in Wishaw offers £21.44 to £24.57 per hour, with various shifts available across an ongoing contract. The successful candidate will safely operate an HGV on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery points, transporting mail and parcels for a well‑known logistics organisation. • Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 1 years previous Class 1 driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
