Job Overview

An established organisation is seeking a reliable and detail‑focused Part-Time Accounts Assistant to support its Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with previous accounts or finance administration experience who enjoys working both independently and within a small team.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct credit control activities, including professionally following up on overdue accounts.
Assist with sales ledger duties such as raising customer invoices and allocating payments.
Manage finance-related mailboxes, ensuring emails are prioritised and actioned promptly.
Set up and process bank payments.
Match purchase orders with delivery notes.
Reconcile fuel receipts with invoices.
Process credit notes.
Handle bulk transaction processing.
Check corporate card statements for drivers.
Review accounts
Identify and follow up on any missing invoices.
Manage petty cash.
Send customer statements.
Provide general administrative support to the Finance team as required.

Microsoft Office
Sage
Paperless systems

Person Specification

Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance administration role.
Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
Confident written and verbal communicator.
Comfortable working independently as well as within a small, supportive team.

Additional Information

This role starts at 2 days per week, with the potential for increased hours in the future as business needs develop.
