Management Accountant

A long‑established and respected manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its Finance team.

The business has a strong operational reputation and continues to invest in its people, systems and infrastructure.  Reporting to the Financial Controller, this hands‑on role plays a key part in delivering accurate financial information, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting high‑quality reporting.  You will collaborate with teams across Finance, Operations, Shipping and Senior Leadership.

Key Responsibilities include:

Review and monitor Accounts Payable KPIs with the AP Clerk, highlighting issues to the Financial Controller.
Liaise regularly with the Shipping Manager regarding supplier payments.
Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns.
Support external bank and financial audits.
Prepare accruals and prepayments.
Support preparation of the monthly Management Pack including variance analysis.
Produce daily sales and margin reports.

The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate data confidently and produce accurate reports. Experience using SAP Business One, or a comparable ERP system is essential for managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. Exposure to manufacturing, production, or related industries would be highly advantageous, providing valuable context for the operational and reporting environment of the role.
