Materials Planner

A well-established client based in the Witham area is currently looking to recruit a Materials Planner to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent opportunity, working Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, offering 14.42 - 16.82 per hour ( 30,000 - 35,000 per annum), depending on experience.

Key responsibilities within this Materials Planner role include (but are not limited to):
Coordinating, planning, and tracking material flow to support production and delivery targets
Creating and managing material requirements planning (MRP) in line with production schedules
Working closely with suppliers to address shortages, delivery delays, and urgent order requirements
Ensuring ERP/MRP systems are kept accurate and supplier performance data is maintained
Assisting with new product or project launches to ensure materials are available in line with timelines

Skills and experience required for this role:
Previous experience in materials planning, production control, or supply chain coordination (automotive or engineering background desirable)
Solid understanding of ERP/MRP systems and inventory management processes
Strong organisational skills with a proactive, problem-solving approach and excellent attention to detail
Confident communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and liaise with suppliers
