Cabinet Maker

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Bench Joiners / Cabinet Makers on behalf of our client, a manufacturing company based in Witham, on a temporary to permanent basis.

The successful candidates will have previous Bench Joinery or Cabinet Making experience and will be confident working independently, reading technical drawings and producing high-quality finished retail products.

Roles & Responsibilities

Assembling timber components and products to specification

Reading and working from technical drawings

Operating woodworking machinery safely and accurately

Using saws, routers and planers

Sanding, scraping and planing final assembled timber products to achieve a flawless finish

Preparing finished products ready for varnishing, staining or painting

Ensuring work is completed accurately and to the required quality standards

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Carrying out any additional tasks required for the effective operation of the department.

Experience, education & qualifications

Previous experience as a Bench Joiner or Cabinet Maker is essential

Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings

Experience operating woodworking machinery and using saws, routers and planers

Strong practical skills with excellent attention to detail

Able to work independently and get on with the task in hand

Health and safety conscious

Reliable, hardworking and able to produce work to a high standard

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
Salary:
Up to £18.00 per hour, depending on experience

Contract:

Temporary to permanent
