We have an exciting new job opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to join our Fabrication team, producing premium components and modules for some of the most exciting luxury car programmes in the world.

In addition we deliver full vehicle development, including chassis and powertrain, to high net-worth heritage racers via our heritage racing division, ADP Classic Racing. We restore and rebuild high-end classic racing cars, prepare drivers, manage a programme of touring and racing, and provide full event support.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the fabrication team to ensure production requirements, schedules and customer demands are met.
  • Plan and organise workloads across the fabrication team, ensuring resources are appropriately allocated to meet production priorities.
  • Monitor production progress and identify and address issues that may impact delivery, quality, or efficiency.
  • Ensure fabrication processes are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, work instructions, and production standards.
  • Work closely with Production Planning and the Manufacturing Manager of Metallics to understand priorities and communicate requirements clearly to the fabrication team.
  • Manage stock levels of materials and consumables within the department.
    Ensure machines, tooling, fixtures, and equipment are well maintained and kept to a good operating standard.
  • Identify bottlenecks, process constraints and opportunities to improve production efficiency.
  • Support the introduction of new products, processes and equipment into fabrication.
  • Ensure production changes are communicated effectively and implemented in a controlled manner.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure products are manufactured right-first time.
  • Ensure team members understand and consistently follow drawings, work instructions and quality requirements.
  • Monitor fabrication quality and identify recurring defects, rework and process issues, and work closely with the Engineering and Quality teams to resolve the issues.
  • Ensure non-conforming product is correctly identified, segregated and controlled, preventing the progression of suspect or non-confirming products progressing through the business.
  • Support continuous improvement activities aimed at reducing scrap, rework and defects.
  • Provide clear direction and expectations to team members at the start of each shift and throughout the working day.
  • Monitor individual and team performance and address issues promptly and fairly.
    Work with the Metallics Manager to effectively coach and develop team members to improve technical capability, productivity and quality, and address skill gaps.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Strong practical fabrication and manufacturing background and knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Good understanding of fabrication processes, tooling and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving, quality and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Effective team leadership, coaching, and people-management skills.
  • Ability to plan workloads in advance and meet production schedules.
  • Good understanding of health & safety, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Relevant technical qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Fabrication, Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • Previous experience supervising, leading or coordinating a production team is desirable.
  • Experience managing production priorities and quality requirements.
  • Experience resolving production issues and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Automotive, motor sport, aerospace or other high value/technically complex manufacturing experience is desirable.
  • Experience with low-volume manufacturing is advantageous.
