European Road Freight Export Operator

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced European Road Freight Export Operator to join a fast-paced and dynamic operations team. This role will focus on managing European export movements, building strong client and agent relationships, and ensuring the smooth, cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage European road freight export operations, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently and in line with agreed deadlines

* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and internal teams

* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, European agents, partners, and suppliers

* Plan and manage European groupage trailers

* Monitor shipments in real time, proactively resolving any issues or delays

* Provide complete and accurate manifests, loading lists, and delivery paperwork for transport and warehouse teams

* Take ownership of customer complaints, investigating issues and delivering satisfactory resolutions

* Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency

* Assist and provide cover within other areas of the operations team when required

* Contribute to strategic planning to support long-term business objectives

* Maintain up-to-date geographical knowledge to support effective transport planning

* Demonstrate an understanding of profit and loss within operations

Skills & Experience

* Previous experience in European road freight exports

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills

* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities

* Customs knowledge preferred (full training can be provided)

* Experience with Belgian and Dutch markets highly desirable
