A highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Witney is looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join its growing team.

The firm works with a diverse client base of SMEs, owner-managed businesses, partnerships and sole traders across Oxfordshire, providing accounts, tax and business advisory services.

As an Accounts Senior, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for delivering high-quality accounting services while working closely with the Partners on more complex assignments.

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and corporation tax returns.
• Preparing and reviewing management accounts.
• Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• Managing your own portfolio of clients and acting as their main point of contact.
• Providing advice and support to owner-managed businesses on day-to-day accounting matters.
• Assisting with client meetings alongside the Partners.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
• Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value.

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or be qualified by experience).
• Recent experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong experience preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients.
• Good knowledge of corporation tax and VAT compliance.
• Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books and Sage.
