Audit Responsible Individual (RI) – Witney / Hybrid

Salary: £85,000 – £125,000 DOE. Current RI status essential. UK accountancy practice experience required. No sponsorship available.

A well‑established independent accountancy firm in Witney is seeking an experienced Audit Responsible Individual (RI) to lead an established audit portfolio as part of a planned leadership transition. One of the firm’s existing Audit Directors is moving into a business development role, creating space for a senior audit professional to step into a key position with real influence over quality, people, systems and growth.

• Taking ownership of a significant audit portfolio
• Acting as the main relationship lead for audit clients
• Driving audit quality, compliance and best practice
• Improving audit systems, processes and methodologies
• Mentoring, developing and strengthening the audit team
• Working closely with the leadership team on audit strategy
• Helping to grow the firm’s audit presence in the market

• Must already hold RI status at your current firm
• ACA or ACCA qualification
• Significant UK accountancy practice audit experience
• Strong experience managing audit portfolios
• Experience leading and developing audit teams
• Strong FRS 102 audit knowledge
• Quality‑focused, commercially minded approach
