Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical design engineer who enjoys working on technically challenging products and wants genuine involvement across the full product development lifecycle.
The RoleAs a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical design projects, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop robust, innovative and manufacturable products.
Key responsibilities of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer include:- Developing mechanical designs from concept through to manufacture.
- Producing detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
- Designing complex mechanical components and assemblies.
- Applying DFM/DFA principles to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.
- Supporting prototyping, testing and design verification.
- Working with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve design and production challenges.
- Contributing to design reviews and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Proven experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related discipline.
- Strong 3D CAD skills, ideally Solid Works.
- Experience designing complex mechanical products.
- Good knowledge of DFM/DFA, tolerancing and manufacturing processes.
- Experience taking designs through prototyping, testing and production.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of projects.
- Work on technically challenging, high-performance products.
- Genuine ownership of mechanical design projects.
- Full exposure to the product development lifecycle.
