About Nitron Racing
Nitron is a leading manufacturer of high-performance suspension systems for the automotive and motorcycle industries. Based in Witney, Oxfordshire, we design and manufacture premium shock absorbers for motor sport teams, vehicle manufacturers, distributors and performance enthusiasts worldwide. Exporting over half of our production, we also operate assembly and distribution facilities in Japan and the USA, supported by a global service network.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced
Mechanical Design Engineer
to join our Engineering team.
Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you will design and develop precision mechanical components and assemblies from concept through to production. You'll work closely with manufacturing, assembly and vehicle application engineers to deliver innovative, high-quality suspension products.

- Design mechanical components and assemblies using
Solid Works
. - Produce fully toleranced manufacturing drawings and production documentation.
- Design for CNC machining and manufacture.
- Support product development from concept to production.
- Work with manufacturing teams to optimise designs.
- Maintain CAD files, engineering documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Support prototype development using 3D scanning and 3D printing.
- Contribute to continuous product improvement.
Essential:
- Minimum3 years' experience
in a Mechanical Design Engineering role. - At least3 years' Solid Works
experience. - Strong 3D CAD modelling skills.
- Experience producing manufacturing drawings with geometric tolerances.
- Knowledge of CNC machining, Design for Manufacture (DFM), engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
- Experience with prototype development, MRP systems and BOM management.
- Experience using 3D scanning and 3D printing.
- Interest in motor sport or high-performance automotive engineering.
- Suspension or shock absorber design experience (advantageous but not essential).
- £40,000–£45,000
salary (DOE) - Monday-Friday, full-time permanent role
