Civil Engineer

Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

A well-established engineering consultancy in Oxfordshire is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer with 3+ years’ experience to join its growing infrastructure and drainage team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to take the next step in their career, working on a varied portfolio of residential and commercial developments. You will be involved in the design and delivery of infrastructure and drainage schemes, working alongside experienced engineers and other technical professionals.

As a Civil Engineer
, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering civil engineering designs across a range of residential and commercial projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing infrastructure and drainage solutions for development projects
• Producing surface water and foul drainage designs
• Preparing technical drawings, specifications and design information
• Developing highway and infrastructure layouts
• Undertaking drainage calculations and supporting technical assessments
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other consultants
• Working as part of multidisciplinary project teams
• Supporting junior engineers and graduates where appropriate
• Taking projects from initial concept through to detailed design

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with at least 3 years’ relevant consultancy experience and a strong interest in infrastructure and drainage design.

You should have:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• 3+ years’ experience within a civil engineering consultancy
• Good experience in infrastructure and drainage design
• A solid understanding of residential and commercial development projects
• Strong knowledge of surface water and foul drainage principles
• Experience with Info Drainage or Micro Drainage would be highly advantageous
• Experience using Civil 3D would be beneficial
• Good communication and technical problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage your own workload and contribute effectively to project delivery
