What to expect in this role

As a Healthcare Assistant at Merryfield House Nursing Home, you’ll support residents with their daily needs while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing. From personal care and mealtimes to daily activities and companionship, you’ll make a real difference every day. Join our friendly team and become a valued part of our residents’ lives.

Hours:

22 hours per week

Shifts:

Night shifts (8:00 pm – 8:00 am)

What we expect of you
  • Ensure the wellbeing of residents and maximize their quality of life by aiding and encouraging each resident to reach their full potential.
  • Promote good working practices and perform duties competently and in accordance with company policies, ensuring a safe and secure environment for both residents and staff.
  • Deal with any accident effectively and follow correct reporting procedures.
  • Demonstrate outstanding time‑management, problem‑solving, organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal and written) and maintain confidentiality when required.
  • Maintain a strong service mindset and flexible, can‑do attitude.
  • Apply strong judgement and decision‑making ability.
  • Bring energy, enthusiasm and confidence to take initiative.
